On Thursday, November 6, 2014 beginning at 4:00 pm, Professor Patty Limerick will speak on “The Importance of Understanding the Legal History of the American West.” There will be a reception after the program, lasting until 6:00 pm.
Professor Limerick is the Faculty Director of the Center of the American West at the University of Colorado.
The program will be in Courtroom 1 at the Byron White Courthouse. There will be overflow space in Courtroom 2 with a closed-circuit video connection. Please allow extra time before the 4:00 pm program to get through courthouse security.
This program is co-sponsored by the Tenth Circuit Historical Society and the American Society for Legal History. The ASLH is holding its 2014 annual meeting in Denver from November 6-9.
